Nyborg VMS Project

  • The Nyborg Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) Project is located approximately 600 km north of Stockholm, and is located in the famous Skelleftea mining district in northern Sweden.

  • The Company has been granted an exploration permit encompassing an area of 7,740 hectares and measuring approximately 15km by 5km, trending east-west. The property lies adjacent to a mining lease owned by Boliden that covers an active mining operation, the Kristineberg Mine, that has produced >20 million tonnes grading 1.05% Cu, 3.56% Zn, 1g/t Au, and 35g/t Ag. The exploration permit is valid for a term of three years and is renewable for a maximum of three additional terms totaling 12 years, contingent upon the completion of applicable work credits.

  • The project encompasses a significant mineral prospect, the Nyborg Zone, discovered in 1976 by the Swedish Geological Survey. A total of 56 core holes have been drilled and a mineralized zone extending 600 meters has been identified containing an estimated 621,000 tonnes grading 0.47% Cu, 2.8% Zn, and 28 g/t Ag. Drill intercepts from this prospect assayed up to 6.1% Zn, 0.4% Cu, and 50g/t Ag, over 8.3m; and 9.24% Zn, 0.23% Cu, and 109g/t Ag over 3.1m. This resource estimate is historical, has not been verified by the issuer's qualified person, should not be relied upon and is not NI 43-101 compliant. Several additional mineralized showings occur coincident with two favorable stratigraphic horizons extending over 15 kilometers in length contained within the Company's property. *The property is coincident with a sequence of metavolcanics that consist of felsic volcaniclastics and subordinate mafic rocks. These rocks are in turn stratigraphically overlain by thick metasedimentary sequences of pelitic and arenitic rocks with graphitic units in the lower most parts. The mineral deposits of the Skelleftea mining district occur close to the contact between the felsic metavolcanic rocks and overlying metasediments.

  • The Company has retained consulting geologist Jim Cuttle, P.Geo to compile the available geological data and recommend a staged exploration program to be undertaken through the summer months with the intent of defining suitable targets for drill testing later this year.

  • Drilling on the Company's Nyborg Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS") Project located in northern Sweden is ongoing with the program expected to be completed in 4 weeks.

  • A total of six targets located in two separate zones will be drill tested. The targets vary in depth from 170 to 400 meters and were identified during a Transient Electromagnetic survey (TEM) undertaken during October 2007. The program will consist of approximately 1800 meters of drilling.

    Tossasen Claim

    • Claim size 3,000 hectares
    • Over 200 mineralized boulders and 10 mineralized outcrops
    • Mineralization is hosted by thinly bedded quartzites
    • Swedish Geological Survey reports: "All mineralization observed in outcrop is present as layers and these generally follow the strike and dip of the regional bedding"
    • Largest boulder discovered is 1.6 cubic meters and is mineralized in pitchblende, chalcopyrite, and magnetite
    • The best chemical assay from an outcrop was; 1.18% U, 1.15% Cu, and >100g/t Ag
